Your data, protected
We built Race2Deals to bring people together, not to harvest their data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

Our commitment to you
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We collect only what we need to run Race2Deals, and we handle it in line with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Race2Deals is operated by RACE TO DEALS LTD, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC901799. For any privacy-related question, contact us at privacy@race2deals.com.
What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, provided by your chosen sign-in method (Google or Microsoft account). We never see or store your password for these; sign-in is handled entirely by that provider.
- Activity data — step counts or movement data recorded during a race, used solely to determine race rankings and results.
- Race activity — which races you've joined or set up, your results, and any rewards you've earned or redeemed.
- Crash and performance diagnostics — technical data collected automatically if the app crashes or encounters an error, so we can fix it.
We do not collect payment card details, precise location, or browsing history.
How we use it
We use your data only to:
- Run races, calculate rankings, and issue the rewards you've earned
- Identify you securely when you sign in
- Diagnose and fix bugs or crashes
- Respond if you contact us with a question or request
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the trusted service providers who help us run Race2Deals — for example, Google Cloud and Firebase for authentication, hosting, and crash reporting. These providers process data on our behalf, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell data or share it with any other third party.
Some of these service providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain limited records by law.
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), or your local data protection authority in the EU

Children's privacy
Race2Deals is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
